| Bob Blakeley has been a photographer, writer and teacher as well as (and currently is) a long-time columnist with the Simcoe Reformer whose passion for history is lengendary. A founding member of the Norfolk Militia (Heritage Regiment), he frequently appears in historical re-enactments, usually as his alter ego, Lieutenant-Colonel Robert Nichol, Quartermaster General of Militia during the War of 1812. His books include The Civilian Soldier: A complete history of the Norfolk Militia 1796-2007, and with Cheryl MacDonald, Hysterical Re-enacting, The War of 1812 Calendar and Book of Days and Norfolk, Haldimand and the War of 1812, including the Six Nations. ~ ~ ~ |
